Funding to complete the Appalachian Highway System in the region's most challenging terrain has passed the US Senate and is now before the House. Brandon McBride, executive director of the Appalachian Regional Commission, briefs us on the system's history and brings us up to speed on the economic and cultural implications of a completed highway system.
