The Lexington Philharmonic was in the midst of auditioning candidates for music director and conductor when Covid brought an abrupt halt to the process. Now, two years later, the search resumes. LexPhil will host Julia Tai, Music Director of Missoula Symphony Orchestra & Chorale, Philharmonia Northwest and Co-Artistic Director of the Seattle Modern Orchestra for an intense week of meet 'n greets and rehearsals culminating with baton in hand at The Singletary Center on February 25th to conduct Missy Mazzoli's “River Rouge Transfiguration.”
