In an effort to make cancer treatment more accessible in a region with the nation's worst rates for the disease the University of Kentucky's Markey Cancer Center has a program underway to encourage students from Eastern Kentucky to consider careers in oncology. The "ACTION" program is headed by Dr. Nathan Vanderford and he joins us to discuss the publication of a 2nd edition of essays by students about their personal experiences with cancer.
