Dannagal Golthwaite Young suggests that in reality, we're not as divided over major policy issues as many believe. A professor of communications at the University of Delaware, Danna's research focuses on political media effects, media psychology, public opinion and the psychology of misinformation. She studies the intersection of entertainment and information, including the psychology of political satire, as well as how the psychology of liberals and conservatives shapes how they process information and their preferences for media genres and political aesthetics. She is the author of “Wrong: How Media, Politics, and Identity Drive Our Appetite For Misinformation.”
